Cartlidge is not meant to be pierced and will try to force piercings out - so it is in a constant state of "growing out" of your ear, which is why it always hurts and always seems infected. Eventually it will grow out of the cartlidge and you will just have a piercing in the skin of your ear (the cartlidge deteriorates away).

Keep an eye on it but it does not sound infected the way you are describing it. It is natural for it to be sore given the area you pierced so that will just be a matter of time for it to heal. If it gets red and starts oozing puss then I would be concerned. Don't touch or play with it too much and clean it a couple of times a day. Bactine is a good germ killing clenser that won't dry out your skin. Other than that just give it some more time and it should be fine.

If you think it seems like it's getting better- it probably is. It's also pretty normal for it to be a bit swollen and it's okay for it to hurt when you touch it after you've first gotten it done. Just be sure to clean your piercing twice a day (once in the morning and once at night) if you aren't already. When it's healing it's best to avoid your hair touching your ear to much as hair produces oil and that can lead to problems with your piercing. Oh and when your cleaning your ear be sure not to use Q-tips or Kleenex as the cotton fibers and dust can get caught up inside your piercing.

Possibly. There should be a walk-in clinic somewhere nearby that can give you a better answer (and some antibiotics, if needed).

You could, of course, do something crazy like tell your parents and let them help you. Chances are they're more worried about your well-being than the fact that you wanted to get earrings.

if you have any white puss coming out it's a for sure thing it's infected.
Clean it with sea salt (if they didn't give you any) or hydrogen peroxide....the cartilage is always sore after being pierced. I did mine myself and it stayed swollen for a good while. Try to avoid having your hair stuck on it (obviously) to prevent it from being torn.

According to my medical records you earlobe will shrivel up and fall off within 48 hours. A burning sensation will be felt in the rectal area.
