The only clown I was ever scared of was the clown in the movie "Poltergeist"...
He was scarey to me...
Real ones are not that bad...
Just bad makeup...

Yes it is because I believe they are evil. God said we should be transparent, and they are always hiding behind a mask. Want to share this story with you.
A 10 year old girl stuttered for the last 5 years and her parents was Christa ins. So they approached the pastor for help. To make a long story short, the parents used to be clowns at children's parties for the last 5 years. When they got rid of all the clown stuff and stop being clowns at parties the girl stopped stuttering instantly. Coincidence?
Clowns are evil.

I hate clowns (coulorophobia is the scientific term for it, I think). Psychologists have chalked it up to what you said: fear of the unknown. You can't see a clown's true face under all that makeup, so you can't know what their intentions are.

Its the make-up..and the fact that they just don't seem right. There is some sort of mystery over a clown..can they be good? Can they be bad? They are just generally creepy...

As a child, I was afraid of strangers. But to me, clowns were not only stranger, they were down right scary. They don't look human, but they behave like humans. To this day, clowns make my skin crawl.

i dont really get the whole clownphobia thing.. when the clowns are menicingly evil and dripping blood from a very dull axe then i understand

Cant sleep - clowns will eat me...
They're freaking creepy. I'd rather hang out with naked old people.

the only thing i think about when i see a clown is what they look like without all that makeup....could be someone i know!!

they are awful, I always had nightmares about clowns and would scream hysterically if I ever saw one.
