to shaKIA27: GIRL, ugly and stupid are definitely not the words to describe me. I know and have been told that i'm an extremely beautiful lady who also happens to have a bit of a nerdy side thankyou.

this guy is probably around 21 and I'm 17.

He wants to take your clothes off but is intimidated and nervous and can't figure out how to talk to you.

Three things: He may actually like you, but not have a way to or does not know how to speak to you. He may not really know if you like him too.
Or, he may just be acting out of respect for your dad, especially if he knew your dad first. He may not want to someday be told, "you used me to get to my daughter". In this case, take the initiative and talk to him.
Or the way you act when around him, sends the signal
"Keep off!!".
If you want to be friends, then do something about it.

Are you interested in him? If he reciprocate the feeling, he would (or will eventually) make some attempt to talk to you, even if he is shy. And perhaps he enjoys talking to your father because of common interest(s) such as sports, carpentry, and whatever guys like to talk about.
Although this may not be the same situation, my husband have some male friends who don't talk to me but have a mouth full of topics to talk to my husband about. It's a guy thing!

if he's a friend of your dads' then he is just being respectful. if you are as pretty as you say then i'm sure he has noticed you and is probably very nervous. And that is a good respectable quality in a man. at least he's not grossly drooling on your shoes. why don't you speak to him. maybe at the next function ya'll have

maybe he had a bad experience with a friends daughter before, and don't want to cause any trouble for you with your dad, or he thinks that you are way to young, or maybe he don't like kids... (don't know your age)

Maybe, it's as simple as that he's your Dad's friend and has no thought about you at all. You are just his friend's daughter and that's that
I suggest that you stop fantasizing about him.
