get yourself a portfolio, stay away from any agency that you have to pay, except for a poss one time fee to get your pics in the books. again it should be a one time fee.

Look for agent that does not charge a fee, but only takes a small % if you get booked.
Also you want an agent who has a good successful rate of getting his/her clients jobs.

this looks like the right way to go and the person is telling it straight when he says of you have to pay to get a job, it's probably a scam.
