My cousin-in-law is getting married the end of September, it will be a large wedding in a church. I'm not in the wedding, & not really close to her, but my partner is. The problem is, I live in FL & it's normally pretty warm still that time of the year & I'm very self conscious about my body after just having a baby & being a little on the chunky side. What should I wear? Is anything black inappropriate(sp?)? I need help something awful, I'm worrying myself to death about this. Any help would be apprciated. Thank you in advance.

P.S. If you have any links of an example picture, I'd *love* that.

A wedding at the end of September, it might be cold. Look into a pantsuit or a long dress or skirt.
Since it's being held in a church, I'd stay away form black unless it's going to be very formal (Black tie)
Look for dark colors to help hide those baby pounds. Navy, forest green, burgundy, whatever looks good on you.
Since you just had a baby, you probably want to cover the tummy. If you are nursing, you also want one that's easy to move if you have to. That would mean an A-Line with button down the front for a dress, or seperates. If you aren't nursing, or you know your baby will take a bottle of pumped milk, you can wear what you want. Try to stay away from items that have a waist. It either falls at the waist, giving you a bulge, or below making it stick out above and at the sides. For seperates, look for tops that fall below the waistline and don't tuck in.

I picked some stuff from JcPenney because they are everywhere. You should have one in your area, and they aren't expensive. You won't be wearing a post-baby dress a ton of times, so your probably don't want to spend several hundred dollars on one.

Its okay to wear black, the color NOT okay to wear is white to a wedding. You should just put on a past-the-knee black or navy dress. The sleeves can be wide or capped depending on your preferences. Dress shoes are a must, short-heeled sandals are good. Just do your normal make up (not too dark lip color) and youre all set for the wedding, just try not to steal the bride's thunder!
