Last time I ordered something that was delivered by the USPS, it was 4 days late and it didn't even come to my house. The USPS had the wrong address (they thought it was a P.O. Box) and when it finally made it to my neighborhood, yes I said neighborhood, it didn't come to my house. Some neighbor that I don't even know brought it up to our door. I just ordered something else and I didn't realize it would be coming via USPS. I feel screwed. Anyone else have bad experiences with the USPS?

I hate USPS.
I dont know, theres something wrong with USPS in my area, the mail always come late, and if i sent something eventhough I bought the priority or express is always late, and some of them is missing.
I sent something to UK, for 2 month still hasnt arrived yet!
I think maybe because of the budget cut and most of the people use
another company services

Did your correspondents use your proper address, etc? In the mean time try to consider becoming more proactive when dealing with similar problems. FYI in the USPS you have an easy chain of command to follow that will help you get results. Believe me that nobody intentionally messes up your mail. If worst comes to worst you can even email the office of the Postmaster General using the link at the very bottom of the page at www.USPS.com

Just last month I received a letter from the USPS that contained, to my horror, a copy of a (substantial!) check I had written, and a letter explaining that the letter I had sent that contained the check had been destroyed (exactly how was not explained). The photocopy was to give me an idea of which merchant to apologize to...because, of course, they had never received the payment I had sent.

I was livid.

I called the merchant in question...which happened to be a nursing service...and they told me not to worry. But, to prove that I wasn't jerking them around, I sent a copy of the USPS letter with my re-issued check.

This little episode could have turned out badly. Imagine this happening to a car insurance payment!

I did note, by the way, that the USPS letter was NOT an individual personal letter, but a form letter, suggesting that this kind of thing happens regularly enough for the Post Office to keep a stack of apologies close at hand.

In conclusion, no, I don't trust them, either.

May be it depends on your location. I never had problem with delivery. The only issue that I have with USPS is those addresses that they update for banks and magazine publishers: If one gets a 2nd address or a PO BOX it is automatically sent to various places even when not needed...

Your kidding right? What does this have to do with traveL.. Sorry, but they are only human and stuff happens. You got it didn't you?

Best thing to do is report it to the post master general at your post office. they DO take it seriously and will take care of it. but if you say nothing how are they to ever know?
