Ok Bro!! I was in your girlfriends shoes at one time or another, and depression doesn't really go away not even with medication, its a doctors way to make money off you and give you sugar pills!!! But if you want your girl to open up to you first you need to call her like every 2 or 3 hours just to say whats up and be with her as much as you possibly can!! Then when you guys are in a serious conversation, tell her your problems and kinda make her feel like she ain't the only one that's having a rough time, but in the same time give her as much sympathy as you possibly can... And see where it goes from there!!! Good Luck Dude

sometimes it is incredibly hard to open up to those people you care about the most, because you actually fear what they will think. if she's cutting her wrists, she needs to see a psychologist, or a psychiatrist.

try to get her to talk to a complete stranger, like on a suicide prevention line or at a forum like this. and don't be hurt that she would talk to others and not you. she'll talk to you when she's ready. right now she needs professional help.

hmmm wow um just really sit down with her dont tell her to stop cuz usually people that cut themselves do it to have more control over their lives so dont tell her to stop, but instead talk to her and let her know that youre there for her and ask her what she wants and/or needs and let her know that youre worried about her. Get her to admit or to conclude that she needs to get help. Once that happens, then get help, there are programs and hotlines for people that cut themselves. The faster you get ahold of one the better. Cutting is dangerous and her life is at stake.

girl friend on my view shoud be a person who should share as much as possible to you and even if she cant on some aspect , should be good enought not to show you with the problem ...

i would ask to move apart for some time to know if she really needs you or love you
