Disagree. I think it's more like power. Oil is just a smokescreen for the neo-cons. They truly are deluded and believe that democracy is something the Middle East wants and will make those ethnic groups settle down. Big miscalculation.

All countries that consume vast amounts of natural energy resources are interested in oil. Oil being the main constituent in powering transport. It`s the fact that in the US you waste a hell of a lot of energy for no good reason,The US needs to cut back on usage. Why you drive 5,6 7 litre cars is beyond my compehension. I drive a 2.0 Litre Turbo that will hit 150MPH and does 50 to the gallon, Need i say more? Pointless thirst= waste. Thats why you and the high consumers ransack the earth in search of oil.

Seems like it doesn't it? Our world as we know it would come to a screaching hault without oil. Betcha the libs would be the first ones to blame Bush if that ever happened. They would say "Why haven't you done more in the middle east to secure our way of life". Personally I think it would be quite interestinng to have fuel prices go from $3-$30 overnight. We would probably never recover, but it would be interesting.

If President Bush (yes you left out his title as leader of our country) was only in it for the oil he would have sent us to drill in Mexico and Venezuela, 2 countries that owe us a LOT of money but are not paying it back ... why you ask? Because they told the UN that they don't have the money to pay back the loans. We have forgiven their debt instead of making them pay it back with oil or even lower prices on the oil we purchase from them. SO I DISAGREE

If Bush is so into oil why isn't he so keen on drilling in Alaska? Why do all you people think that Bush wants all the ****** oil? How would you know that thats all he cares about? What proof do you have that he cares about oil? Has he profited at all from oil? No, it does not seem that way.

Where do you hear this kind of garbadge. I hear this kind of stuff through the grapevine but it is not actually true. George bush has his flaws because he is a man just like anypone else. But we are in the war for the safety of our country. I actully think that we are not doing enough. We need to set an example so the terrorists are terrified to terrorize. I know George Bush has made tons of $$$ in the oil business but I am sure that that is not his main concern right now.

Of course that's what he cares about, he and his family are in the business. In his younger days, Bush even worked for a Bin Laden oil company!
