Well my hamster died yesturday.I fed him and gave him water. I saw him eat and drink it. The only thing i didnt do was clean hid cae which i was going to do today. ihave only had him for 1 week. How do u tell if a hamster is old or sick?? And 1 thing i noticed with him is that he would run on his wheel for hours on end without drinking water,and afterthat is i touched him he would like spaze out. Is this normal?

Is there anything un...normal.... about him. We are taking his body to petsmart (where we bought) to have him checked out for anything wrong.

Oh and he seemed quite fine when i held him. He would just run around or go to sleep in my plam. and im not sure how old he was when i got him.

it sounds normal.
but small animals like hamsters can die from stress, and moving from a pet shop to a home is very stressfull. if you get another put its cage in a quiet room and dont touch or hold him for the first week you have him to let him settle down, after a week slowley start to stroke him then handle him.

Did you get him from hid cae with the plam when he spaze?

was he a baby when you got him or full grown. so sorry he passed away. i have 3 ol dmen hamsters all in separate cages and they live such short lives. they are sweet little creatures.

Im not a vet but, it was probably sick or old when you got him. Mines had wet-tail when I bought mines off Petco.

umm, i dunno running for hours sounds kinda weird, i would take it to pet smart and tell them to refund the money or give you another hampster, damn one week?
