cuz they don't understand what friendship is n how it works if they stab at their friends' backs. they're not gud at all when they abuse their friends' trusts in them. Cruel! They're actually not best friends... just stay away from betrayers, then.

because they are not really your friend in the first place.
They befriend you the first time they saw you because they can feel that you can rival them. So when you trust them, then their true colors are revealed.
