Almost definitely. If you are in a 12 team league with a "serpentine draft" (meaning you will get the 11th and 14th picks) and you are in a league that gives the same value for passing TD's as rushing TD's, then...and only then...and if...and only if, Peyton Manning is available, would I ever take anything other than a RB with BOTH of my first two picks.

Typically, you will want to draft RB's with your first two picks and usually have 3 RB within in your first 4 rounds of drafting (assuming you are in a league that starts 1 QB, 2 RB and 2-3 WR).

If you don't get the VERY top QB within the first 5 rounds, don't worry about drafting one until after your have at least 3 RB's and 4 WR's...Just do your pre-draft homework and identify and prerank the 2nd and 3rd tier QB's and be prepared to take one of these QB's and a backup in the later rounds as there is very little significant drop off between the 4th QB and the 11th QB in fantasy points...plus, it becomes very difficult to predict who will be the 4th best or 11th best fantasy QB before the season starts. Prime example...last year I "targeted" drafting Carson Palmer as my QB (knowing that he would be available later in the draft). I had correctly identified him as a good "sleeper" QB with very good upside that would be available in later rounds. In one of my drafts, I selected him in the 8th round as the 13th QB drafted. He ultimately was the #1 or #2 fantasy PLAYER last year (depending on which league he was in as I had him 2 different leagues).

You will almost always get much better results drafting RB, RB, RB with your first 3 picks than any other strategy.

Drafting a QB first is the main consumer-friendly mistake human beings make in fable activities. different than Peyton Manning, each QBs fee is close. look finally 3 hundred and sixty 5 days's stats: a million. Peyton - 311 2. Vick/Brees - 261 the subsequent 8 - 2 hundred or greater there is not any longer plenty distinction between the 2nd superb QB and the eleventh superb QB. constantly, constantly, constantly draft a RB first. constantly.

With the 11th pick you should DEFINETLEY get a RB. Then, unless a fall off happens *Peyton Manning or Steve Smith* come back to you in the 2nd round, then you should consider another RB. Probably a combination of...

1st Round-Brian Westbrook, Carnell Williams, Stephen Jackson
2nd Round-Ronnie Brown *i doubt it, but i've seen him fall*, Kevin Jones, Steve Smith, Peyton Manning.

Good Luck Buddy...

Don't even concider a QB unless it's P. Manning at that pick. All other QB's are a deep 2nd or 3rd round pick. Stay RB!!!

If there are any good kickers, grab one first. At least you can get field goals. Then RBs and WR. They can make up for a substandard QB.
