I think nearly all drugs should be legalized, with common sense regulations in place.
Not because I like drugs, personally I think people who abuse substances, legal or otherwise, are losers.
It's the fact that we waste billions on this 'War on Drugs' that accomplishes nothing, overwhelm our prison systems with people who need help more than punishment, and create an enormous criminal market that promotes violence and destroys our inner cities.
Prohibition doesn't work. We figured that out the hard way in the 30's, why is it taking so long to figure it out again??

There are no good reasons that our friend Mary Jane is illegal.
Of course all things are easier to controll when they are controlled and not prohibited. Prohibition only pushes things into the realm of the "immoral". Perfect for politicians. Maybe they like the uncontrolled money better?
One really bad effect of all these drug laws is that they are largely unenforceable. I think people lose their respect for the law when they see parts of it as silly. That can't be a good thing.

Strongly believe it should be legalized, but highly controlled. So when first time users say what the hell was all the fuss about, a parent can explain the taxing situation, and not some pusher getting them to try something stronger. Egyptians used it as a treatment for seizures.

I do, but it should be regulated like alcohol.
Kids shouldn't be doing it, and people shouldn't drive or work sensitive jobs when they smoke.
As far as "healthful benefits" I'm not sure about that. I know it has been good to me for mental health reasons. I am able to put things in better perspective when I moderately smoke.

Healthful benefits?
I would direct you to any medical page which references the ridiculously large amount of carcinogens, toxic poisons, and other very unhealthy effects of smoking dope, but you have gone this long without facing the truth, I wouldn't want to spoil your high.
