I don't think he ever exceeded the brilliance of his performance in "Raging Bull." I was talking about it with another actor shortly after it came out, and the guy said: "That's not acting...he just xeroxed that guy's SOUL!"

i have to add "analyze this" - just because who would-a-thunk Deniro could be so damn funny. the man is a brilliant actor and can do anything & pull it off.
