There is such a thing as big boned. Not everyone has the same bone density, and almost no one has the same size body frame; therefore your bones DO effect your wieght.
The misconception is that bigger bones mean you're not fat, you are big because of your bone mass. Big bones do not mean that you are not fat. They have nothing to do with fat.
If you are worried about your fat content being too high, calculate your BMI (Body Mass Index). There are many ways to calculate that. I'll find a site for ya...

But don't fret, you are still growing, so you probably have a lot of your baby fat still hanging around. As you continue to becaome a woman, your body will use those nutrients packed under your skin. But do watch what you eat, and don't spend too much time sitting here infront of the PC (You'll have plenty of time doing that when you get a career!) Take up swimming or dance. It'll be fun, and it'll give you a head start before your metabolism crashes on you (look out, what your parents say is actually true! It really does sneak up on you!)

There is no such thing as being big boned. That's a myth. 140 pounds seems like a lot. Get in touch with your doctor and I'm sure he/she can tell you whether or not you need to lose some weight.

If your asking your not feeling alright. personally your only 13 and most girls get a little stocky before they stretch into a beautiful slender women. When that time comes (around 16 ) then worry about your changing body. For now be a kid and don't over indulge but enjoy your life. okay?

There is nothing wrong with that at all. I know it is easier said than done - BUT, at 13 years of age a female should be more concerned with all-around health than with just height/weight.
Eat a variety of foods, avoid "junk" foods and sodas, drink plenty of water, get plenty of exercise and enough sleep every night.

Yes, that is alright. Usually you should be anywhere from 125-145 pounds, so you are o.k.
