Concentrated vit C would be better as orange juice would go stale very quickly in a feeder bottle and may up set the pigs digestion. Try feeding them lots of cauliflower & brocolli, this has 4 times more vit C than apples and will do them more good than orange juice. Also Orange juice is very acidic and may hurt your pig. I never feed any citrus to my pigs.

the orange juice will most likely spoil and make your guinea pig sick. The vitamin drops are the best way to go and the bottle will last for a very long time.
You can also give your guinea pig fresh pieces of oranges and carrot. A carrot a day is really good for a guinea pig.

Do not feed ur pig, cauliflower or broccoli. They are very gassy, and may put yer pig in the hospital. Your local pocket pet Vet should be able to give you a list. And as for the vitamin supplement. It is a good idea but getting it naturally from vegetables is better. Red and Green Peppers, Greens, Kale, Dandelion Leaves...to name a few, they love them and won't cause piggy upset. Also just an FYI a pigs diet should consist of 80-85% Timothy Hay. 10% Pellet food, and 10% fresh veggies. If your pig has never had veggies. Start really slow, in small amounts. Then slowly increase it over a few weeks. Good Luck, and please know not everyone on her has your animal in their best interest. Always get second opinions from a REAL professional, or you may hurt your "friend"

No, no , no. Please go to a pet shop and buy a special concentrated vitamin C supplement drops for your guinea pig's water. Orange juice is too acidy and will upset your gp's stomach. But, depending on your gp's taste buds, you can give him a little piece of orange to nibble on. Orange juice is for humans and not guinea pigs. Who knows what kind of preserves can hurt the little guy/girl gp.

I know that orange juice is bad for male rats (it can cause cancer). I probably wouldn't add it to a guinea pig's water. Can you just get some liqiud vitamin for the water?

hiya :) nicely I'am happy you're so responsive to the significance of having your guinea pigs some diet C ! My guinea pigs are very healthy, and their weight loss plan is composed in particular of carrots celery and cabbage. although in addition they get specialized guinea pig "nuggets" on a daily basis. maximum varieties of cerals or nuggets that are made in specific for guinea pigs will incorporate diet c, yet purely verify the label. in case you're rather apprehensive they are no longer getting sufficient then broccoli is an extremely stable source. you additionally can purchase diet c drops to place over their nutrition if desires be. =D playstation , it would desire to be tempting to furnish them countless fruit, however the acidity can injury their mouths, and so fruit ought to easily take transport of now and back as a manage!

The orange juice will be too sugary and acidy for your piggy.
Why not just buy it some vitamin C tablets? That's what our vet told us to do and our piggies love taking them. It's like their nightly treat.
