Personally i think they should be offered some cheese with their whine...what do you think?

Depends what they're ratting about.
If they're telling their parents that their friend is going to have alcohol/boys at their party and their parents tell their friend's parents and they get mad and cancel the party...that's pathetic and lame and I hate that.
If they're ratting out that someone is planning a terrorist attack with a group of friends, they should. Or if they're being bullied, or coersed into something...
It's alright in certain cases, but if it's something that doesn't help anyone and only hurts everyone involved, then it's mean and useless.

Yes on some levels. Like if it's work related and there are issues with your co-workers and you have tried to change their work ethics and nothing changes than you have a situation that has to be resolved with a supervisor. And on some personal levels if it is involved with family and your concerned about the person that you have to tell the rest of the family no. So sometimes it is a good thing and sometimes it bites you in the ***.

Actually I used to think that to, but now , depending on the situation I actually believe it can be a way of caring for someone.
Not that i would rat them out, but i do care though !

no. of course what are they ratting about. ar they mobsters ratting out a crime boss. If so, that is a plus for the safety of the public.
