Can a regular person join an amish or mennonite comunity??
I have always wanted to join one, but I don't know if it is possible. I have learned about them and still need to do some more research on the mennonites, but I feel I should be one of them.

They are a community religious group... that means that you have to live in one of their homes, and live in one of their communities... attend their church, wear only the clothes they allow their members to wear... follow their religious rules... not use modern day electronics... or machinery... and many other things... The Amish are more strict than the Mennonites are... but both rule your daily life... who you can see... and marry... etc. If after you read about their ways of life and you still feel as they do, look up their communities... they have communities in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Iowa... and Indiana... Good Luck!
