go to tools -> internet options -> clear history

Have a close look at the icons on the tool bar. Can you se a small black upside down triangle at the side of every icon, well if you click on it a drop down menu will appear with all sorts of things on it.
The one you want is on the left of the search box. look for options and personalize your tool bar.
you can also highlight the search and press delete on your keyboard.

WOW!! You know how many times people search for this a week? You could've saved 5 points if you just searched for it. Tools>Internet Options>Content>Auto Complete>Clear Forms.

definitely switch from IE to Mozilla firefox, Firefox has the ability to erase all personal info, such as passwords, webpage history and cookies automatically every time you close the window. visit www.mozilla.com, download the latest version of firefox and then go to tools--options--privacy--settings-- and check off "clear private data when closing firefox" you can select the info you want deleted and is very handy when you check out porno sites that you don't want your lady friend to see that you visited ;)

Go to Options-> uncheck Auto-Complete words option and u wont find it the next time u search.

Go to "Tools" then "Options" then click on the "clear" button next to "History" Last, click on OK.
