garbage collector. some people don't tie their bags well and i've seen spilt garbage...left out to be collected anyway (the a%&es).
sometimes it's not about the smell (although i can't imagine getting used to it such that i don't notice it anymore), but the type of stuff people throw away.
sometimes there's like glass and it's broken or not wrapped properly. or people trash big items like fridges and beds when they should call someone to pick it up (this costs $ though and they'd rather save it than show consideration for others)
worse is after a party. mountain of trash for just 1 household. plus there's usually like gravies, sauces, drinks that aren't doublebagged or that could have been dunked down the sink.

The worst job would be doing something that you don't like to do. If you're a janitor and you love what you're doing, then, for you, it's the best job!

TRANSPORTING PARAKEETS. I rode in the back of a 5 ton cargo van used to transport 10 tons of parakeets. My job was to wave my arms continuously to frighten the birds into the air so that no more than 5 tons of birds were sitting on the perches at one time,thus overloading the truck. I learned three things- frightened birds love to poop,wear a raincoat,keep mouth shut.
