when parents are found to be unfit, and abusive to their children, why do they get a second chance? that the dumbest thing I ever heard of. A litle girl was given back to the same parents that abused her, and 3 monthes later she was killed by them, shouldn`t the human services be responsable for her death to, for giving her back? this is happening way to often, I think they should only get one chance, if they abuse them they should never get them back. No wonder kids won`t tell.

The system is crazy and messed up. The reason behind the decision to keep giving kids back to their parents is that the best thing would be for the parents to become good caregivers and for them to remain together. Unfortunately, this just isn't realistic for most of these parents.

Why should the kids keep getting dragged through the system but not be allowed good parents who would love to adopt them?
Too often the parents keep getting more and more chances until the kids are passed the age when people want to adopt them. The parents get all the chances, and the kids lose out all the way around.

I agree with you that there are some things that a parent can do that should mean they never get a second chance.

yes i agree most states dont have money to leave kids in foster homes for a long period of time(it is very costly) so they put them back with their parents too soon before parents can get the adequate help.
