Popular is a bad name in my book. You should treat all your peers equal unless they are nasty to you then just stay clear of them.

When i was in school a million years ago lol i was, guess i still am, but i didnt try to be popular, i am who i am. I have always been a good friend, someone you can talk to an even better listener. I think those who try to hard it backfires on them, they end up being hated. So be yourself and keep a smile on your face, pouting and being unhappy makes people not want to be around you.....

I am popular because I am open and willing to make a fool of myself sometimes to make people laugh. Make people laugh, make them smile when they dont want to. Be there for people, be loyal and hang out with popular people. People will judge you by the company you keep and you can become popular because of that!

popular.. hmph. let's just say if you want to be popular - you're trying too hard. if you want to be popular just for the heck of it, because everybody else thinks it's "cool" and they socialized you into believing that being popular is popular, and you believe it and try to be it... you're a follower and followers are rarely popular. find your kind of people, the ones you really like to hang out with (not what everybody else likes to hang out with). stay true to what you like or dislike - don't become a prey to the groupthink. when you're among those who are like you, it's much easier to find yourself... and be popular. and if you're still reading this gibberish and you at least try to make a sense out of it, it's good. if you DID make sense out of it - you're on the right way. and I earned my well-deserved 2 points.

why try to be popular? just be yourself and people will like you for who you are. I HATE phoney people. your true friends are not the people who like you because of what you have or who you know.
