no. i don't think FIFA would allow it.
Let's face it. The world cup is also political and certain teams can have certain advantages. And there's no way a European-dominated support is going to lay down while USA takes the cup.

HELL NO! ill admit america does have some really good players. but i think that they are way, way , way over rated. 5th in the world my butt. if you ask me they should be some where more around 13-17th in the world. they did get lucky making the score tied in the italian game they had in the world cup that just passed. their defense is ok but thats all they got. it takes all the all-stars of the m.l.s. just to (actually) compete with any team from the spanish or english leagues without their starters. sorry to be harsh but im telling what real soccer fans think.

they can, if a lot more players play overseas, and they get all of their players to play to their potential, landon donovan got all this great publicity about how he likes playing here better, well did anyone else notice he SUCKED? simply put, MLS is nowhere near the level of the top euro leagues. you don't get better by playing against guys who wouldn't make most premier league teams' reserves. and too many players were indifferent and didn't play that hard this year. no 1 looked like they wanted the ball at all, and the scheme didn't try 2 press any fitness advantage we might have had. we didn't sneak up on anyone this time, and our inexperience and inconsistency were revealed

The USA can't win the 2010wc based on their performence in 06 germany, but like many teams they need to start wining competitions in order to motivate they team and in order for them to start thinking positive, and last but not least the only team that stands a chanse of wining the wc in 2010(from North region) is mexico! for they have growing talent ask we speak and have talent right now, the usa is not the regional power and before they can win they need to step of teams like argentina and brazil a feat that they have not accomplished in years! (in senior level). my point convert to being a mexico fan, thats the only way you can even come close to wining a wc.

the chances are 3%,I mean they played very good in the qualifying stages,we thaught they can get far in the WC but look what they did, they have to find new fresh young players with indivisual talents and a new goalkeeper. In the worldcup all the players were like grandpa's or sth(Reyna,McBride,Keller).

the only way the US would win the world cup, is if the other teams withdrew and forfeit!

If they qualify... they do have a chance to win.
1/32 possibilities to win. Of course, if they don't blow it!
Goodluck!
