Is a religion that has influenced people to use their 6 month old baby as a decoy to blow up planes peaceful?

A couple arrested in the plot to blow up 10 to 12 planes from Britain to the US were going to use their baby as a decoy to get bottles of liquid explosive on board. After their arrest, the police allowed the mother to nurse her baby...he was NOT a bottle-fed baby. (btw...the bottles had false bottoms in them!)

What kind of religion would teach that blowing up your baby (with the aircraft) is the way to 72 virgins or whatever????? Good Night!!

I cannot believe how many people are defending this. I am not saying all Muslims would do this, but I sure haven't heard ONE on the news say that it was deplorable to even consider such a plot. And I've heard very few condemn any of the acts of terrorism. Far too few. I have had 2 Muslim friends and I know they'd never consider something so heinous, but why will so very, very few speak out against this crap? And you liberals defend it???
For the record...ALL SORTS of Christians have condemned those who blow up abortion clinics, and you dang well know it. And Roberts was thoroughly chastised by the Christian community for his remarks. Get your facts straight.

Then you will have to realize what that licenses the rest of the world to do:

I could go on, but I am sure you are getting the picture. You can't base your judgement on a religion by the actions of fanatics - every religion has them. Christians blow up clinics, killing people because of abortions, the continued fighting in Ireland between the Catholics and Protestants, and all Scientologists are crazy like Tom Cruise? I think that most people base their judgement on a religion by reading their beliefs and studying what they teach. If you look at the religions by their teachings, you will see that most of them are very peaceful in nature. The fanatics are the ones that cause the violence and rage.

Oh shut up!!! I'm so sick of all of you folks who want to lump all Muslims into one sick bunch. There are "nuts" and "fanatics" in all religions. I think what they did, IF they really did it, was obscene. BUT I know about a zillion Muslims who would NEVER do anything to hurt their children or anyone else's.

People interpret their religions and their holy books in many ways---Look at all the B S some Christians try to justify with the Bible!!!

Also, some people believe in something so strongly that they will fight in whatever way they can. (The woman who drowned all of her children??? She was fighting the Devil. Do we condemn all women then? Or all Christians?

edit: I guess I'm on a roll now...can't seem to stop trying to prevent garbage from being any more widely distributed than it already is. Does anyone know why some Arabs hate the US? And don't say because their religion tells them to. How about the way we took over the oil that THEY own? How about the support of Israel? How about trying to cram western ways down their throats? Do you know any Muslims that DON'T use their babies as weapons? I do, many stay all over the world. Religion is man made, no matter how many ways you slice it or dice it but that's what religion is. You can tell me that the Bible was written by man for God and I could tell you the same thing about the Koran.

The thing is that people take religion and make it into their own form and then blame the biggest known religion as it was "their will." Their will was their own and people need to own their own mistakes and not blame religion as one of them.

they claim to do it as a part of their religion but their just nutjobs. Islam does not teach these people to do this- the Quaran teaches against this actually. I have several good friends who are Muslims and trust me their not into blowing up planes.
