yes i do! i have 5 tats...but i can cover them up as needed....for business reasons...etc... but in the summer, most of them show, and sometimes people just think your trash. but i don't care what people think...never judge a book by it's cover. if someone is going to judge me without knowing me, that's their problem. no piercings here...my 2 older daughters are into that....but i like their piercings!

I have tattoo's which I can hide, or show them to the world. Never been told I would have to cover them up at a job site, but I have seen a lot of work places where they will make you. Piercings you should not be discriminated for...but, lets say your in the food industry or something to that effect, I have been told to take out earrings and can only wear studs for safety reasons

Yes! Stereotyping! But I think you have to know that you will get looks and treated a certain way before you get piercings and tattoo's. I have multiples of both and I am a 25 mother of 2. Yeah, I get looks! But oh well, I know who I am and what I stand for, and I only have this life, so i will do with it what I want! I don't cover mine at work, I'm a hairstylist and maybe it is more accepted in that profession.

The company I work for would not have hired me if my uniform did not cover my tattoo. Clients do not like the look of tattoos or piercings. I have friends who have been told we do not have a position that meets your qualifications nice way of putting it. Because the have facial piercings . SO I guess the answer is yes those things do be come a source of discriminating.

Yes. For some reason, a lot of people look down on others who have tattoos and piercings. Unfortunately I have been guilty of doing that also and I know better because my daughter has several tattoos. We really should not be judging others at all. That is God's job, but sometimes we forget. :)

I don't yet have tattoos or peircings, although I want both. But I do get glared at a lot just because I wear a lot of eyeliner and I always wear black and I guess I kind of give off mean vibes because I don't really like people. Mostly I just try to hide from them though.

Yep.
I use to be a human resource mgr for a large corporation and I did all the interviews. If you had a tattoo or something I didn't care as long as it didn't show during work.
Some companies even have a policy on items like these.
Currently I own my own business and I will not hire someone with tats or piercings. As a business owner I have an image to uphold for my customers and those things are not it.
Now don't get me wrong...my field is art, design, artist, etc. Even in this field we must be clean cut at times.

I don't have any tattoos or piercings in obvious places, but I know my sister hasn't been able to get jobs because of her nose piercing. It really depends on what kind of location you live in and the type of people that live there..

Okay, my ears are pierced three times each and the cartilage on my left. My nose is pierced. I have three tatoo's- two that are completely visable. I have never been looked at funny, treated differently, or laughed at because of it, not even by "older" people.
