he needs to stop sleeping with the child, that is sad and dangerous!!!

That is unhealthy behavior. His child will become dependent on someone sleeping with them and won't want to sleep on their own. When they do try to get the child to sleep alone, they will have many sleepless nights. And if he gives in and ends up sleeping with the child to get them to stop crying or throwing a fit, the cycle starts all over again stunting the progress of growth for the child. His wife(your sister) will start to feel inadequate and have self esteem issues. He needs to not only think about the mental health of his child, but the stability of his marriage to. Good luck to your sister, I fear she has some major struggles ahead of her. Be there for her and support, she will need it.

I think that some people sleep better when there is no one there to criticise their sleep habits (snoring for one). I've been married 30 years, and prefer to sleep alone. Sex is still in the picture.

Maybe your sister snores or has other bedroom behaviors that makes it hard to sleep with her, so he has to move to the 2 year old's room. BTW, do you think that you have a moral right to ask questions and potentially offer advice to your sister? Shouldn't she be the one asking for advice?
