"18 years old, a bit pessimistic, bitter, hypocritical, passive, and homophobic.... "

You sound like a typical 18yr old to me. what teenager is pessimitic, bitter, hypocritical and passive? And everybody discriminates against something/someone in someway, just usually you pick the things that are a bit too close to home huh? hehehehe

And as for the getting to know you thing, would depends on the circumstances, obviously if you were shouting abuse at me in the street then I wouldnt be jumping around trying to be your friend.

If you could distinguish between me as a person and my sexuality then I dont see why not.

I'd get to know you. Just because... somehow, inhibitions are lowered online. There's this sense of anonymity that brings about a false sense of security.

Typically, I don't enjoy "getting to know" new people too often, unless there is some striking quality that I find attractive or intriguing, or similar to me.

In this case... I probably would not mind speaking with you merely because... you seem so similar to me yet so different.

I'm pessimistic and bitter as well, yet highly active and an advocate of gay rights.

It's surprising to note that you're bitter AND passive. Personally, my bitterness stems from the little amount of power that students such as myself have in the world. That no matter what one says, unless you're the president, or some higher-up, or even unless you're over a certain age, you're virtually powerless. Adults, until that point, merely humour you as you vehemently argue, fruitlessly.

Well... that last bit about homophobia on your part might deter me from desiring to know you though. The rest of your listed qualities seems fine to me.

Why, if it isn't too personal, are you homophobic? If there was some major reason, like you were hit on in your youth and abused or something, then it'd be reasonable cause for homophobia... but if it's just willful ignorance... I don't know.

People are complex creatures. So, with that in mind, I can't truly decide whether or not I'd like to get to know you until I speak to you myself.

This is all hypothetically speaking, though.
Hm.

I wouldn't for a few reasons, primarily

Too much ennui, for someone so young, sounds boring, my life is exciting and fun and I'm 24 years older than you, you need to have a better time with life.

I'm 24 years older than you.

I generally prefer men my age or older.

Get over you homophobia, you're too young, why spend life that way. You'll have a much better time being more accepting.

What are you afraid of ????

LOVE YOURSELF

Start from where you are at this very moment
and work with yourself in becoming a better
person ... if you find it too difficult seek
Professional help ... this will help you in the
long run ... I think you hate yourself and do not
like the person that you have become ... but
deep down inside there is a very nice, loving
guy that you will need to polish so that he could
come out and shine. ... GOOD LUCK
TAKE ACTION !!!!

Oh, yea...you are just about eveyone's type! Can't think of a more pleasant way to spend an afternoon than to sit around with a bigot who runs down everyone, sees nothing good in anything or anyone, and lies...great afternoon.

More than likely I would not want to get to know you. Mostly because you are so very negative. Also because you probably wouldn't like me, you being homophobic.

Why are you bitter? I don't really like to hang around bitter people, they bring other people down. Better go see a shrink...

I typically would not. I don't like to surround myself with pessimistic close minded people.
