If they do indeed feel that way, I believe it would have something to do with the "club" like feel of these sites. They have their own "friends" and just like teens don't like adults hanging around listening to their conversations, they might not be comfortable with adults reading their conversations with their friends. I'm on MySpace, and my kids all are too (they are older - youngest is 15) - I know they read my profile and blogs, and I read theirs, but we do it "secretly" - we aren't "friends". However, some of their friends are my friends. ;-)

I'm a teenager and I don't think I own this site. I prefer to answer questions that adults post because they are serious. Not all of us get mad when you use the site. As for myspace, I wouldn't know anything about it because I don't use that site. Good question though for the teenagers who do get mad because I have seen a few who do get mad.

I have come to realize, the older I get, the more separation there is between my getting along with teens, and tolerance of them. That being said, I try to reverse it, because I was EXACTLY the same way in my teens, and I'm certain it's a little slice of life, that's all :)

well, probably because the caustic ones stick out more than the friendly ones... I know the feeling though *sighs* the caustic ones are probably stuck on a god complex and fear that they might have to see that the universe does not in fact revolve around them... till the day they realize this we will just have to forgive them for their immature tendencies and remember that they are, after all, just kids... though waiting for them to grow up is a pain :)

I guess I wouldn't label all teenagers for the way a few feel. And maybe those few feel threatened by superior knowledge and experience. If an adult is giving answers it my expose the immature few answers as pure babble!

I don't believe that. I think that's a stupid way to think. I mean, hey, adults made these sites!
