i have an hp deskjet 5940 and the cd installed the hp digital imaging suite, i never use it, and it takes up ram, so can i uninstall it and still use my printer?

Yes, so long as you keep the drivers installed you can still run your printer.
HP provides all sorts of extra, irritating software with their products. I normally remove those programs.

Yes ofcourse u can uninstall the drivers.If ur os is winxp or win2000 u dont have to worry abt drivers for this particular modelas some of the default drivers will be available which is nearer to ur particular model select the nearest or the exact from the default driver it will work you dont have to worry.
