i had downloaded a couple of things that were supposed to block them but when i try to go to it it lets me so it doenst work.

zoneAlarm internet security suite
all in one firewall / anti virus/ anti spyware

it has parental control and auto block's xxx website's you can set a password on this all in one fireware/anti virus.anti spyware so no one can access it to chaage the security settings you put in if you have a anti virus on your system unstall it be for you use

Blocking inappropriate material is a fruitless cause. Even with some of the best software there will always be a workaround and it really isn't worth it. If you're trying to block it to keep kids or siblings from looking at it you would be better off just talking to them about it instead of blocking it altogether.

If you are still really interested in blocking it, there are programs you can install such as Net Nanny or Cyber Patrol that allow you to set filters to prevent inappropriate material from being shown.

There are several programs that allow you to block certain sites from displaying. Unfortunately, as you've discovered, they're not perfect.

In IE6+ You should be able to filter/block that stuff by clicking on "tools", then "Internet options", then "content", and from there enable and adjust what content gets through.

In my opinion and experience none of this prgorams work.


You are gonna have to talk with the person who might watch pr0n and kinda take care of him.

are you on porno sites? is the software popup blockers? if you have firefox, you can choose which sites show images
