Closer sucked in my opinion. King Kong was so boring I didn't get through the first half. I've heard fabulous things about Memoirs of a Geisha and Cinderella Man. I've heard great things about Brokeback too. That's coming from a very dear friend whose movie opinions I agree with completely. I LOVE The Notebook and Farenheit 9/11. I live in a military town, so of course I'm going to recommend Jarhead. Walk the Line was good too. Jessica Simpson is a cheap sellout in my opinion, so Dukes of Hazard would automatically be out in my opinion. I never heard anything good about it anyway. Nobody liked it apparently, haha.

The best movie in that list is March of The Penquins - definitely watch that one ASAP.

Then Crash, Brokeback Mountain, Corpse Bride, Fahrenheight 911, Walk the Line, Collateral.

The rest in whatever order you want - some are ok, some are not so great.

The Notebook is by far the wrost movie I have seen. It's everything that's wrong with film.
I enjoyed Brokeback Mountain and Walk the Line. I can't say I've seen too many movies on that list, I guess my favorite movies never made much money.

Definitely see Memoirs of a Geisha. If you've read the book, THEN IT IS YOUR DUTY. ^_^
The Exorcism of Emily Rose amused me, but it had it's moments, and I enjoyed the courtroom scenes.
Corpse Bride was very cute, and I suggest it, but it's not the top of the list.
The Notebook was very good, but wicked sappy, and there's only so much of that I can take, so it's the last of my suggestions.

Out of all of those I would only recommend

Crash- A MUST. Excellent storyline and everyone is excellent in that movie.

Walk The Line--Excellent Performances by Reese and Joaquin as johnny Cash and June.
Very Cool.

Brokeback- I liked it but hey, I'm gay so...you might not like it.
