You'll find out when your pregnancy symptoms seem to be rolling along faster than you expected or at around 20 weeks when you have your ultrasound.

You will most likely find out at your first ultrasound, but if they do it to early, a twin could be missed. Not likely, but possible. They would pick up a second heartbeat with a dopplar after 10 to 12 weeks, though. They won't miss that, and they definately won't miss a twin on your second ultrasound.

Youd find out at your !st ultrasound appointment. With my 4 year old it was at 8 weeks, but with this pregnancy I have an ultrasound every month.

Many doctors do a vaginal ultrasound at your first prenatal appointment. He'd be able to see 2 babies and 2 heart beats. When feeling the uterus they would be able to tell that it's larger than it should be for the gestation time. That's how my friend found out.
