Every state in the USA is 18 years old to sign a contract, last I heard. If you are not sure call a cell phone company and ask or visit there web site.

In the US you have to be 18 to sign a contract to get a cell phone. However, with the vast numbers of prepaid plans available, it is possible to get a prepaid phone without the same age requirement.
