Don't tell me to look in my service manual. I do not have one. Don"t tell me to go to a local dealer, he is 250 miles away and not cooperative.

Get yourself a service manual for your motorcycle, and use their charts, or check with your local dealer's service dept. to determine the correct amount of fork oil to use. It's usually just a couple of liquid ounces, but it is important to have the right amount in each fork leg.

Like JetDoc said, get yourself a shop manual. You not only have to put oil in them, but you have to bleed the air out. It's a 2 or 3 step procedure and can't be explained.

Also, 30-40 weight oil is way to thick for dirt bike forks. They take 5-10 weight. You also need special oil, specifically for cartridge forks. A shop manual will tell you all of this stuff.

Make sure you put the correct weight oil for your weight.
30w if your lighter
40w if your weight is over 200+.
