Bodies change as they grow.
She might have been wearing the wrong size bra at a C cup.
She might have gained size around her ribs, but not her breasts. When your band size changes due to weight gain or loss or growth, the cup size changes too. The cup size is the difference between the band size and the fullest part of the bust. So if she was a 34C, she had a 34" chest, and a 37" bustline. She grew, her ribcage expanded. Now she has a 35" chest, and a 37" bustline. She goes up to a 36" because bras don't come in odd sizes, but she goes into a B cup for size.
Tell her, and remember for yourself, to always get measured when you buy bras. Size changes constantly throughout a woman's life.

When women gain or lose weight the bust area seems to be the first effected. You said she did not have a weight change, but you did not give an indication of her age.

If she is under the age of 18 the most likly reason for the change in cup size is normal breast development.

If she is over the age of 18 it could be due to exersize, if she is working out the chest area, it doesnt have to be at the gym, work and sports will do it, may have been the cause.

you aren't being very specific how old is she, has she had any children, did she start taking birth control? There are many things that can effect your bust size, those are just a few, and has she picked up new employment like waiting tables, or something that requires a lot of lifting or physical activity? Just because she hasn't lost a noticeable amount of weight doesn't mean she didn't lose enough to make a difference in her bra size. Sometimes I can lose 2 pounds (or gain it) and it effects whether I can wear a certain size of pants.

A reduction in breast size can be due to a variety of things. It is possible that she could have a hormonal inbalance easily attributed to quitting or changing medications like birth control. Also, even if she hasn't lost weight, if she is working out more, and is gaining muscle mass, she may weigh the same, and be losing cellulite on top(they're the first to go:(

If she's 13 like you are, she's still growing and is just developing her natural figure. All girls start out as A-cups. If she's caucasian and of average build, she'll level out to be a B- or C-cup. It is normal for girls to round out their figures between 13 and 17 years old, and women actually don't stop growing until they're 18 or 20. Haven't you had health education yet?

Geez.. doesn't anyone watch Oprah? lol. Just kidding. But I can potentially wear 3 different cup sizes. It all depends on the band width. Most people don't wear the right size bra to begin with. (or she stopped stuffing her bra!)

Uh.
Bra sizes vary from manufacturer to manufacturer.
I'm sure she's still the same size she was before...it's like in some clothes you wear a 6 and in others you wear an 8.
But you're still the same size...it all varies.

maybe she didn't lose weight, but she may have lost inches due to exercise. it can happen when you work out, your weight remains the same, but you shed inches because your body tones up. muscle replaces fat.
