"The answer my friend is blowing in the wind, the answer is blowing in the wind." Yes Peter, Paul and Mary did it, butt the Kingston Trio beat them, buy doing it for President Eisenhower to protest the Vietnam war.

In the context of the song a road is a path of life, like a career. So you need to walk down the various paths through school to college which would be 5-6 roads. If you get a job after High School, or if you drop out of school then you are traveling down another road. Traveling down all these roads gives a person experience, and an adult is supposed to be an experienced person.

In the final analaysis it isn't so much how many roads you have walked down, it's the mileage or your age (Thanks dukalink6000).

Well I can say that at 19 I truly feel like a man now. In the last months I got a professional job, moved to a new area, and had to find transportant and ways to meet my basic needs. I have succeeded with a lot of help from God and I'm living almost on my own rather comfortably. I've had to literally walk miles sometimes to get my laundry done or to buy groceries, but I got it done :)

Walking down a road will not make no one a man. The bible says that a man is not a man until he comes to know God.

A man is a not through his experinces but his actions and how he learns from them..Im sure walking down theese roads are metaphoric..the roads sybolize his experinces triumphs...so its not asking for a number its saying what makes a man a man..

Well if he starts out as a man (as your question implies) then he doesn't need to walk down any.
