If it swells up then, it may be a fracture. If you can move your fingers, then it is most likely a sprain. If your muscles hurt, then it could be a pulled tendon.
The best thing to do is wrap it in an ACE bandage and hold ice on it. Go to the doctor tommorrow for an x-ray. A fracture will usually cause the fingers to swell. Also, most wrist fractures hurt when you move the arm on the elbow joint.

prob a scaphoid fracture, go to the doctor and have it xrayed. This bone is very sensitive as the blood supply to it is not great if fractured and the bone could die and then you will need surgery. Best get it checked out. Good luck!

Get to a hospital or urgent care so they can take x-rays to make sure it isnt broken...use ice to help decrease the swelling...keep ice on for about 10 minutes, then rest it, then put ice back on for another 10 minutes and so on till you get it checked out.

Ice, ice, ice... x-rays.
It's either a bad sprain or a fracture.
