Why don't the people that are "pro-life" adopt all of the unwanted, abused and neglected children of the world?? That is a two-way street.

Abortion is here, and it is legal. I don't necessarily condone having an abortion, and I would not go out and have one, but making it illegal will take all the government regulation out of it, costing more lives than keeping abortion legal. Making it illegal will only drive it into the alleys, and anyone will perform them - with or without a medical degree. Making it illegal will not stop abortions, and if you think it will, I think you need to take a good hard look at drugs, teen drinking and teen smoking. All of those are currently illegal, but are still done and out there. Laws do not stop crime - education does. If you want to stop abortions from happening, you need to go educate the young on why to not have them. Don't preach - just tell them how it is.

I find it very droll that you as a male would even begin to speak of such things. If you are one of the two people in the abortion issue, then that is fine. But just speaking about it as if it is such an off the cuff issue shows how disconnected men can be from the complex issue of abortion and abortion rights.

If you have the way to completely stop abortion, and at the same time remove the need for it (incest pregnancies, rape pregnancies, and so on), I think we are all ears. If you can make it so it is not the "necessary evil", then make it known. I am sure there are many people waiting for your answer. . . I know I am.

Because I would want to be a wanted child in a healthy environment. Which is really more humane: terminating an accidental pregnancy knowing you're not in a position to raise a child for 18 years, or going through with it anyway and sticking it in the way less than perfect adoption system we have, or worse, unable to yourself provide for the child?
I feel many of the pro lifers I have talked to believe that people should just stop having sex, safe or otherwise, until the said person is married and ready to have a child. Until the neo cons make sex illegal, that won't happen. Furthermore, I don't think that those who protest in front of abortion clinics are going to personally help the women they hope to convince to not go through with the procedure. Therefore, just leave people and their lifestyle choices alone. It's an easy position to take when you haven't been faced with the reality of such a situation.

Well I'm pro-choice, but at the same time I disagree with abortion in most cases. They don't think the unborn baby should have any rights simply because if they call it a fetus and not a human being, that it isn't entitled to anything. Funny how when a pregnant woman is murdered its considered a double homicide, but when a woman has an abortion it isn't anything. So I guess it is supossedly up to the woman to decide if her baby should have rights or not? That seems pretty messed up...

when you were on the pill and you got pregnant when you were 16, it's easier to think about yourself than a life that will cost you your reputation at school and a lot of money that you would rather put towards college. Not only that... but a baby that will grow up with no father because you are not marrieid. I believe pro-choice only in certain circumstances, and I believe there should be a law against women who use abortions as birth control. No more than one, unless you're under the age of 18... because then your parents are involved. Babies don't have choices, and btw they are fetuses until you give birth to them.

they only belive in pro choice when they are the ones doing the choosing. if i was to decide to shoot somebody in the face, theyd want a choice. but anyone i choose to shoot is obviously a parasite and not a human being because they cause me an inconvenience. so no choice for the parasite.

Because fetuses aren't conscious you moron. They're not even humans. By definition an unborn child is a parasite. Go look it up. Pro-choice means a woman has the right to choose what she does with her body, not some fat white guy on Capitol Hill. It does not mean pro-abortion. Get it straight.

I am pro-life but there would be only one way I would have a abortion and that if the baby was growing outside of the womb,I don't know why they called that a abortion because it can kill both the mother and the child.But most people they only think of them selves,and if I could't afford the child I would put it up for adoption.
