The pain level is similar to a very hard pinch. It may make your eyes water a bit. You will feel fine in less than a minute, but the area will be tender and will need your upmost care. Do NOT use alcohol on your piercing! Hydrogen Peroxide is the best thing for it.
Remember, the amount of pain you will feel depends solely on your personal tolerance. Do you cry when someone brushes your hair hard? Then yes, it will hurt.
If you're concerned, try taking a mild pain reliever before hand, such as asprin or alieve (I would reccomend the latter). If it's a very pressing concern, well...don't do it.

YES IT WILL HURT, AS IN PAIN!
WHEN IT IS DONE AND WHILE IT HEALS IF IT GETS JERKED AROUND CLEAN IT WITH ALCOHOL AT NIGHTS AND IN THE MORNING A DAB OF NEOSPORIN. IF YOU GO FOR IT.
IT ALSO HURTS IN THE TONGUE!

well, lets think about that for a minute. You go to someone that has a gun that shoots a sharp object through a part of your body. then, they put in another object that you can snag on a towel or shirt. My guess is, hell yes it's going to hurt, duh

it hurts a little bit and your eyes water but thats it no real pain i did mine myself and i like it
