This seems like a simple question. If there are 2 people the room then the answer is yes. Everybody in the room will know who farted. The one who didn't do it knows they didn't and the one who did knows that they did. They are all the people in the room.
Am I correct? Is this a trick question or something?

no.. that one person may not know they farted and a person could've farted before those 2 people got in the elevator

I actually had this happen, but in a car. I was taking two of my bosses to the airport when one of them farted. Mind you, I'm in a car with two very rich, very white powerful dudes. One of them farts--who gets the blame?

But to answer your question, I think people assume that the person who "looks" like a farter did it--even if he/she didn't.

lol...well say you were the second person on the elevator and you fart....and the other person looks at you like...eww you nasty....look at them the same way right back...then he will never know and you will play it off. :)

if they're not idiots. I was in the elevator today with one other guy. We both went to the 8th floor, but he hit the 6th floor. We got to the 6th and he looked at me and I said didn't you hit the 6th floor? and he looked confused and said no.

you mean a silent fart. well if that people is Italian no but if one a gringo and the other Italian.the gringo will smell the pasta.or the Italian the hamburger
