Don't listen to the Firefox garbage. Firefox is garbage.
I'm going to take you some steps that should clear this problem.
First: Go to Tools> Internet Options>Privacy Tab>Check the Slider and make sure it is on medium. If not click the Default button. Click Apply.
Now go to the Advancee Tab>Click Restore Default button. Click Apply
Now go to the General Tab>Click the Delete Cookies>Delete Files (in the window that come up check the box for Delete Offline Content)> go below to Clear History and click it. Now go back up to the Sites button and click. See the little window with the number and up/down arrows? Change that number down to 50. Click OK and OK again.
Now clear Windows Temp Files: close all programs except your Anti-Virus and Anti-Spy programs. For the ones in the System Tray (by clock) right click on each and click Exit. Close your Browser. Now, Goto Start>Run>type "%temp%" (no quotes). In this window go to the menu bar Edit>Select All> in the list that expanded click on the Delete the selected Items. If a window appears saying a file can't be deleted it is because a program is running using that temp file. Check again and exit all programs and click delete again.
Now the last step if you have DSL: Turn off the Power Button or unplug if no button. Turn off your computer normally and then then the monitor. Wait a couple of minutes and the restart everything in reverse order. This final step clear modem clutter and RAM clutter.
You should Clear the Browser cache (Steps under General tab) once a day. You should also Clear the Modem and RAM clutter once a day.
This should get your pictures back.

Solution 1: Start using Firefox.
This sounds simple I know, but the reality of the matter is this: Firefox is better in every way than Internet Explorer. It’s free, it’s fast, it’s been two or three steps ahead of IE for the past few years, and you will not regret installing it. Likewise, you will not regret uninstalling Internet Explorer
Solution 2: Dynamic JavaScript Embedding
I know that sounds complicated, but believe it it’s not. Here’s the HTML for a simple website that used to work great

You need to turn them back on in your browser.
(Mozilla) Tools > Options > Content > Load Images
Or
(Idiot Exploiter) Tools > Options > Advanced > Multimedia > Show Pictures
Internet Explorer is big, slow, insecure (if you use it you're almost guaranteed to have some viruses and spyware right now), very out of date, and not customizable.
Drop Internet Explorer from use and get Firefox - sleek, fast, safe, easy to use, up to date, extremely customizable... and it has a cool icon.
( Firefox web browser - http://getfirefox.com/ )
Firefox has pop-up blocking built in, and with just one add-on you'll rarely see another banner ad!
(Firefox adblocking add-on - http://adblockplus.org/ )
***
Download a few anti-virus and anti-spyware programs, oh and a firewall.
( Avg antivirus - http://free.grisoft.com/ , Adaware anti-adware - http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/ , Spywareblaster antispyware - http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html , Zonealarm firewall - http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/company/products/znalm/freeDownload.jsp )
It's almost guaranteed you got some nasties through either just using Internet Explorer, or downloading stuff you shouldn't.
***
Install the programs and scan your computer. You might want to stay offline for this - you're not protected until AFTER you do it.
After that - password protect your computer account. If you use a wireless connection see if you can get it secured (passwords and encryption)
Make sure to update your virus and spyware scanners once a week, and check for updates to your firewall... and operating system.

If you are using software such as ZoneAlarm or a similar firewall, it may be preventing the showing of images from certain sites.
The recommendation about firefox:
Firefox is good, but it may be difficult to move over if you have used IE for some time.
Anyway, you can get firefox here: http://tinyurl.com/7b4zd

Downlaod Firefox! It runs really fast. In fact, I'm using it right now!
It's totally customisable, and theyr'e all sorts of tweaking options to choose from, so really it's a better deal than internet explorer. Give it a try, you can always switch back if you don't like it!

Go to add/remove programs and scroll down to Microsoft Internet Explorer. When you click on remove/change it will bring up a menu and ask if you want to "repair" ie. Choose "repair." I think that might solve your problem.
Good Luck
