as good as yahoo but not like hotmail(the junk mail part I hate).

gmail. It is very GOOD but you need an invitation. Lovely spam block, clean, not clustered, has bulit in chat and lots of space

Gmail is what I've seen to be the best. I don't know how many I've tried... over 10 at least...
It depends on how you organise... I like my e-mails in gmail's format - conversations. Very cool.
Gmail doesn't have ads all over the place like Yahoo. Only in the e-mails, and only about stuff that's related. Simple text ads... no blinking moving annoying ones. Or talking ones... I loathe those.
Gmail by far.
You can either be invited, or I did see one address on gmail's server that you could just sign up on... but I've forgotten where it is.

Gmail as well =) I am a Gmail user, and love their features. Really good and easy to use. Good storage space. Awesome new and more features coming.
