yes its him, tim said that he wanted to use the real voice of the actor and Johnny didnt take lessons because he wanted to learn more about the character before he learned any of the songs. I think he did a good job for not being a singer, but he says he will never do another musical again. You can tell its him by his sexy sexy voice ( swoon) and there are videos of him in the recording studio. Sweeney todd is a barber and a killer, i think it would be weird if he sounded like a professional singer. Youll notice even in any of the productions of sweeney todd that the people in it arnt the best singers, but because they focus on the character.

His voice was dubbed by a professional singer in "Cry Baby". However, his "wife" (common law) French singer Vanessa Paradis says he has a wonderful singing voice, but has been too shy to perfom in public until now. He's supposed to be singing in the new musical "Sweeney Todd".

he used to have a band. I forget the name.it was his first love before acting. he just began acting as a joke/last resort when he needed money I believe.
