Are you seeing a doctor regularly? Your OB should be the one you address this question to. She might want to do a sonogram.

Everybody is different. How was your weight when you got pregnant? If you were overweight then, you'd want minimal gain during pregnancy. How did the first trimester go? Did you gain a lot? How much have you gained throughout the pregnancy, so far? Is your doctor concerned? Are you nauseous? Undereating? This is not the time to be on a weight-loss diet. Baby needs the nutrients. Is this your first pregnancy? If not, how much did you gain the other time(s)? Is your second trimester complete, or are you only part way into it? How far?

The baby does most of its weight gaining during the third trimester. You will, more or less, gain a pound or so per week in the second and third trimesters. That's an average! No obsessing! Overall, with the baby, water, placenta, increased blood volume, enlarged breasts, you're looking at 25-35 pounds gained from beginning to end. More than that, and you've been having too much fun. Too much less, and maybe you need a bit more fun. You don't want the baby to be too small at birth.

Here is some great information. Lean back, have a peanut butter sandwich, and enjoy. Best wishes!

With my first daughter I gained 29 lbs total during my pregnancy. The majority of that weight was gained in the last trimester. With my second daughter I gained 18 lbs total and that too was during the last trimester. With my third daughter I lost weight. I was 20 lbs lighter in my ninth month then I was at the beginning of my pregnancy. All of my babies were healthy ... 8 lbs 8 oz ... 8 lbs 9 oz and 7 lbs 9 oz. All pregnancies are different and if everything feels right to you and you are healthy then I don't think you have anything to worry about. Congratulations!!!! Good luck and may God bless you and your family (especially the new addition) :)

With my last 2 pregnancies I did not gain any weight. I stayed at my pre-pregnancy weight the whole time. Both my children are happy and healthy. One is almost 4 the other is almost 1. If you are concerned talk to your Dr. or Midwife.

i think of you're being overly comfortable approximately how enormous your thighs are easily getting. Too undesirable you probably did no longer take tape measurements earlier you began your working behavior via fact i might guess that they have not greater beneficial in length until eventually you extremely have won cellulite weight, which isn't likely. women human beings have an enormously complicated time gaining enormous, cumbersome muscle tissues until eventually they take testosterone or steroids. On authentic of that, working makes use of your thighs plenty, yet in an enormously "low weight," a lot of reps situation (have you ever seen an olympic marathoner with extensive thighs?). to learn muscle bulk, you will possibly could be doing some thing with a ton of weight yet no longer many reps, like 6 - 8 reps on the leg press gadget. So, right here is what i think of you may do. forget approximately approximately your weight. it rather is feasible which you would be paying for and merchandising fat for muscle... and muscle weighs greater. hence, the size isn't the terrific decide of your well being and look. purchase a epidermis caliper and make certain a thank you to degree your physique fat share. An athlete point physique fat share for a woman is 14% - 20%. So in case you're interior this variety, you're doing super. and because you would be utilising a tape to degree your diverse physique section measurements, this additionally will help you maintain music of the dimensions of your thighs, hence killing 2 birds with one stone. it rather is exceedingly in contact in spite of the undeniable fact that, so which you will probable in basic terms choose to do it as quickly as a week. yet considering which you look obsessing a sprint too plenty approximately this, reducing your measurements to as quickly as a week is probable a sturdy theory besides. Google seek for "physique fat share" and there will be distinctive web content that designate what it rather is and the thank you to degree it. (it rather is not your physique Mass Index, or BMI. it rather is a daft measurement). finally, men do unlike chicken legs. men might rather see a woman with somewhat bigger thighs created from toned muscle, than super skinny thighs that are in basic terms flab. have confidence me... i'm a guy, and each guy i've got ever talked to says a similar ingredient.

As long as your seeing an OB/GYN regularly, and they haven't said anything about the absence of weight gain, then you shouldn't worry too much. Most of the weight comes in during the third trimester. On average, for the average size person, a pregnant woman will gain 25-20 pounds during pregnancy.

Below is an article I found on MedScape Today...

How much weight should I gain during my pregnancy?
Most women need to gain 25 to 35 pounds during pregnancy. How much weight you should gain depends on how much you weighed before you got pregnant. If you are very slim, you need to gain more. If you are very heavy, you need to gain less. The chart on the other side of this page can help you decide how many pounds you should gain. Talk with your health care provider about the right weight gain for you. Then use the chart to track your weight during pregnancy.

I don't feel hungry. Do I have to eat if I don't feel hungry?
Many women do not feel hungry early in pregnancy. This is because of hormone changes in the body. Later in pregnancy, it may be hard to eat because your stomach has less room between your baby and your lungs. You will feel better all through your pregnancy if you try to eat something every 1 to 2 hours. Eating a big meal may make you feel sick. Eating just a slice of apple, a carrot stick, or a bit of whole wheat bread will help you feel better if your stomach is upset. It is important to remember that what you put in your mouth goes to your baby. If you don't put anything in your mouth, your baby gets nothing to eat.

People tell me I'm "eating for two." Does this mean I have to eat twice as much?
No. Most women only have to add about 200 calories every day to their diet. Many women can eat less and still be very healthy and grow a healthy baby. Your baby depends on you for all of its food, so you do have to eat well. Make healthy changes in your diet\Meat lots of fruit and vegetables, eat only whole wheat bread, and cut down on fats. You don't have to eat much more than you normally do.

What happens if I don't gain enough weight?
If you do not gain enough weight, your baby may be too small. Babies that are too small can have problems right after they are born. They may have trouble breathing or eating. Some babies who are too small at birth have trouble learning when they get older and go to school. Talk with your health care provider about how many pounds you should gain to make sure your baby is not too small.

What happens if I gain too much weight?
If you gain too much, you will have more weight to lose after the baby is born. Women who gain a lot of extra weight have a higher chance of needing a cesarean birth.

Should I gain the same amount every week?
The baby will gain most of its weight during the last 2 months of your pregnancy. You should try not to gain much weight at first. Plan to gain most of your weight in the last months of your pregnancy.

this is so not normal- you need the attention of a OB like ASAP! Think about it- 4lbs in three months in one of the trimesters where everything is going on with the baby! PLEASE SEE A DOCTOR AND IF YOU ARE SWITCH TO A DIFFERENT OB THAT WILL ASSURE YOU THAT THIS IS NOT HEALTHY!
