I have mutual funds (IRA and Roth IRA) with Vanguard but thinking of rolling the 100,000 to Fidelity. Anyone know the long-term track record? The Freedom Funds with Fidelity interest me. I am 10 years away from retirement. ..need to make some cash but am conservative. No interest in managing anything on my own, as I am no pro at investing.

I have a 401(k) with Fidelity and IRAs with Vanguard. Generally, I prefer Vanguard due to generally lower expense ratios and better service. Their equivlient to Freedom Funds are Life Strategy funds.

Really, both are great companies and very close to one another. You can't go wrong either way.

I think Vanguard already has "life cycle" funds similar to the Freedom funds called Target Retirement - compare fees and see which is better.
Vanguard Target Retirement 2015 (VTXVX) Total Expense Ratio: 0.00%
Fidelity Advisor Freedom 2015 Class A (FFVAX) Total Expense Ratio: 0.26%
Looks like you should stay...

Six of one, half a dozen, etc as far as families are concerned. Now, the real question for you is which fund within the family. Aye, there's the rub.
