We aren't wanting to do the Walt Disney or any theme parks ... what are some fun things that the average tourist doesn't know about?
We are going to Orlando, Daytona and Fort Lauderdale and we will have a rental car for a week.

Try Fort DeSoto, St Pete, Blue Wave beach. The Lowry Zoo, MOSI, Pass A Grille, Hands on Museum.

Sail the Keys and become pirates for a week. Plunder other ships for treasure. Put on eye patches and parrots. Or just find a small secluded island and get hammered.
Declare war on the Conch Republic.
Watch out for hurricanes.
