bug spray, first aid kit, ice, water, food and cooking gear-think about what food works best and is prepared most simply..., towels, swimsuits, lawn games, fishing gear, hand-held misters, air mattress, bedrolls, pillow, flip flops for showering in public restrooms, wood and matches and paper for campfires if permitted, extra changes of clothes, jackets for cool evenings, rain gear (it ALWAYS rains!) coffeemaker! maybe batteries for your music. take your ID in a waterproof baggie; lock it in your glove compartment if necessary. don't feed wildlife, for your own safety and theirs. if you'll be on water, take life jackets too.

have a great time!

Can you bring air mattresses or an air bed? It makes sleeping so much better. A cast iron skillet for cooking is a must. Flashlight for getting around at night, bug spray.Newspaper for firestarting. There is just so much. Wood, if you can get it. A dandy cooler to keep things cold. Shower shoes because those campground showers can be gross. A jug for water. I am assuming you have talked with the other people to figure out meals and such. A portable radio and maybe a book. Have fun!!

You should bring bug spray, a first aid kit, outdoor clothes, sunscreen, allergy medications, water bottles, toilet paper, blankets, sleeping bags, towels, swimsuits, life jackets, journal (to plan or write down the events that you experienced) a cooler to put your food in, and some hand sanitizer. Also, you should wear comfortable shoes that is suitable for the outdoors, such as hiking boots. Wear long socks [it doesn't have to be knee-high, maybe a couple inches below that]so if bugs/animals bite you, it won't be that bad. Bring a flashlight and extra batteries, and make sure to charge your: camera, cell phone, pager, etc. on the night before you leave so it won't run out on you in the outdoors. Also, if you are going to be exploring/hiking the area, bring a small backpack with your water, first aid, etc. so you won't have to carry everything with you with a luggage, or out everything in your pockets.

everything that you would ever think you would need. look around your house and bring things like candles, toothpicks, matches, cotton balls, string, bandages, coins, vaseline, sunblock, all food condiments (ie: salt, pepper, spice, ketchup, mustard etc.), toiletries (all things possible!!!), bedding, tarps, sleeping accomodations, flashlights, bug spray, two pair of shoes, magazines, books, playing cards, sharp knife, rope, hammock, clothing, swim suits, hair accessories, games, lighter, fishing gear (if necessary), cooler, ice, drinks, blender (to make margaritas), antibiotic cream, hand sanitizer, marshmallows (FOR SURE), cooking utensils (pans, pots, tongs, flippers etc.), a cooking source (ie: wood for fire, grill, bbq), WATER (very important). Well I can't think of anything else right now. Cheers and have a good time. Oh yeah if your going to a lake you need floating devices for sure.

what i do when making a list is......start with the first thing you will need when you wake up, go through the whole day and just keep writing down all the items you would need. also keep the list and anything you forgot, add it!! then you will be prepared next time!!
and have FUN!!!

one hint fill empty 1/2 gallon milk jugs with water leave caps off then freeze put caps back on..use for ice in coolers,,no mess and cold water as they melt for drinking..they will last 2-3 days.
also use ziplock bags for macroni and potato salad..they take less room and don't spill.
