Ok, I've done an adware scan, and destroy, a spyware scan and destroy, I use a firewall, but I got these pop ups that no program has gotten rid of. They pop up under iexplorer.exe in my task manager processes and when I end the process, it takes any IE window away, even ones I'm working with. Best I can figure, they start with a win antivirus window wanting me to download it and when I close the window, the pop ups begin. When I end the iexplorer.exe process, the win antivirus window pops up starting the cycle all over. What can I do about these? They knock me out of my favorite games and block my view of the whole screen sometimes. Please Help!!!

Wow, thank you so much for all your suggestions, I'll keep them in mind for any other problems, but here's what worked. I saw a resolved question that had my exact problem spelled out. Turns out I had something called Vundo, and was able to go to http://www.atribune.org/ and fix it with their free software. Yay!! Thanks alot to all of you who answered.

Things I recommend. If you already did the step, do it over in safe mode. Also, get a pop up blocker...you can get one from yahoo.
Step by Step information to do:
Step 1:
Go to a webpage, click tools, internet options, clear history, delete files, delete cookies, click apply, click out
Step 2:
Go to a webpage, click tools, click reset web settings, click ok
Step 3:
Run an anti virus (I recommend Norton Anti Virus), delete anything that comes up
Step 4:
Run Ewido (www.ewido.com), delete anything that comes up
Step 5:
Run Ad Aware, delete anything that comes up
Step 6:
Run Spybot-Search and Destroy, delete anything that comes up
Step 7:
Restart your computer
Still problems?
Step 9:
Run your computer in safe mode, Click restore to an earlier date
Step 10:
Restore to a date before when the pictures were showing up
Step 11:
Reset computer in normal mode
Still problems?
Reinstall Windows ..
How to do this?
Step 12:
Turn on your computer, click F4, F10 (one of those will correspond to system restore) It will say at the bottom, Restore your whole system. May take about 30-45 minutes, and RISK: WILL DELETE ALL YOUR FILES! SAVE ON A DISK OR CD BEFORE YOU DO THIS!

i good way to block popups is to install multiple and different types of popups blockers having two or three helps actually. but the kind of ads you are experiencing are different a good way to get rid od em is too install multiple adware and spyware destroyer and run virus scans (Windows Defender, Spybot, spyware blaster, ad-aware, REGISTRY MECHANIC (DOWNLOAD AND RUN THIS FIRST IT MIGHT SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM), sophos anti virus, norton spyware scan are all things yu shud try!!!). if none of the above works then yu must format your hard drive and reinstall windows (or get a qualified computer expert to get rid of it for yu the ads i meant)

well, if all the pop up blockers and stuff dont get rid of it, i'd try to do a systems restore. when you first start up you can hit f10 and the pc will walk you through the process. you can restore it to the day before the problems started, and it should go away.

Get a pop-up blocker. I personally use the google toolbar that you can download. It has a pop-up blocker along with various other tools. If you want only a blocker then I suggest you check out google-to search not to download-.

Sounds like you have a bad virus :(
Might have to take it into Best Buy or Circuit City and have them fix it.
That happened to my Dad once and it sucked.
