It depends what it is - if it is about TCP/IP or DNS for example, then read it - these things operate to very long-standing specifications so a book that is 10 years old is still mostly current.

If it's about Windows2000, and you use Windows 2000, then it is also good.

Should be ok. You will find out when u start to use it.
It cant do any harm!!
Also if its for software lots of things are the same across many versions eg: Photoshop 4.5 is similar to Photoshop 7 still.

well... they just came out with pentium 4 and xp then... so it should still apply for the most part... some will be out dated but alot of it will still apply
