My first movie will be about lesbians about to graduate form high school. I'm pretty sure I will get criticized for making a movie about gay teenagers, but I am only starting off that way because most celerities start their career off by playing younger characters and then they play older characters as they get older. Then as I get older, thet characters in my films will get older. It makes more sense anyway. But is my movie about gay teenagers any different than a straight moviemaker's film about teenage love between a boy and a girl?

You will probably be criticized however, the criticism may actually help rather than hurt your carrier. The controversy will spread the word about the movie, which will help people see it, who may have never had the opportunity to hear about it.

There was a movie that I saw with Angelina Jolie, don't remember the name, where she played a bisexual character. This was before she was famous and she played a teenager. The movie wasn't very memorable, but Jolie's performance was. As long as you do your best with regards to performance, any negative criticism you get will be about the role, rather than your performance. Make that your goal, and you should do fine.

I would like to know what you are worried about. Why even ask this question. You are a movie maker. You want to be criticized about your movie. It is part of what stirs up interest in your movie. Yes you hope it is good enough to express your feelings about gay teenagers. Their feeling, how they look at life, how others view them and so on and so on.

Not to worry about your movie getting criticized, worry that is don't get criticized. Go out and make your movie. Take on the establishment and show your views. It is your right.

Prey for criticism and show your movie proudly. That is what great movie makers are all about.

Can't wait to see it! The only difference is that it''s more controversial. Then again, look at a lot of the independent films out there. They cover some very controversial stuff. I think the only criticism you'll get will be from the radical right.

Stories about them are always "universal" and stories about us are always "gay films". :( That's the way things go. Will you get criticized? Undoubtedly. It's a matter of who's doing the criticizing, though, and whether or not you should care. Good luck.

You and your movie will be criticized. It may be constructive, but probably not. Expect all sorts of reactions and learn what you can from them. Personally, the subject is not one of interest to me.

Do it! Get people educated about the gay lifestyle and make them aware that it is hard to grow up in this mean world.

i've got continuously believed that approximately bisexuality. i think of it relatively is an extra handy way for many to start coming to words with their homosexuality. it relatively is lots extra handy to declare "properly i will like boys, yet a minimum of I nevertheless like women too". Sorta keeps one foot in straightsville, which makes it a splash extra handy for one to settle for. in spite of this, I def think of there are genuine bisexuals, purely no longer as many as one might think of.

Far out! You go girl!

If you keep it real it will get criticized. Which (and they never seem to figure this out) will definitely help with sales.

Don't worry about the subject matter. Worry about YOUR acting skills and how YOU look in the movie. Everyone will forgive a rotton movie if YOU were good in it. No one will forgive YOU if YOU were rotton in any movie.
