Invictus: Because it is a poem about strength in the face of adversity and taking responsibility for your actions:
William Ernest Henley. 1849–1903
Invictus
OUT of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance 5
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade, 10
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate: 15
I am the captain of my soul.

My favorite poem is called 'Sarah' and you can google it. But to me it brought to my eyes what parents and people are doing to children to destroy them. They blame todays teenagers for their own behavior but did you ever think that it had to do with how the parents raised them.

My favorite poem is the one I wrote to help me get through a heartbreaking divorce...
Words
...with my words to her, I have planted the seeds...its up to her to water them and turn them into what they were meant to be...if she does not the seeds will die and never be....will I be sad that my plants did not grow,indeed...but I will not be discouraged...I will just try planting my seeds in a new garden...maybe that is what was meant to be...
